Video Game Soda Machine Project Files 500th Machine
Catalogued soda machines
Bless The Video Game Soda Machine Project's curator Jess Morrissette for putting together such an interesting collection of items and then taking the time to make sure they're all housed at a respectable location, now on their own website. Even more impressive than that is the fact that it's catalogued its 500th soda machine.
Yes, it's a project all about gathering and documenting soda machines found throughout the video game landscape, and it couldn't be cooler.
The latest machines appear to have been caught in a pre-release version of Half-Life, and there's a delicious Fruitopia machine depicted there. I haven't had that since my trip to Toronto to test out Splinter Cell Blacklist. Fantastic memories, since it's not sold in my area of the United States, disappointingly enough. I'm happy to see it live on in the form of Half-Life.
At any rate, rats off to Morrisette and his efforts. There's an impressive collection here that you can view, add comments to, and search if the mood strikes you. Personally, I'd love to know if any other games featured Fruitopia machines. If you have Fruitopia, please send it all to me. I am wasting away and Fruitopia is the only cure.
