Check Out The Afro Samurai 2: Revenge Of Kuma Trailer

Cut!

Hey. Hey, you. Fancy playing a samurai with a head like something out of Five Nights at Freddy's? Well, I've got news for you then. (Literally. Hah.) For those still reeling from the video, the general gist of it is this: you'll be playing as Afro Samurai's cybernetically enhanced "brother" who has, thanks to a series of bloody encounters, been rebuilt multiple times over. Why, or how, this has happened is something I won’t spoil, although I suspect you’ll get the gist of it is probably apparent from the video. But the plot itself involves you trundling after the character that Samuel L. Jackson voiced in pursuit of dastardly vengeance.

Scheduled to hit later this year, Afro Samurai 2 looks to be a somewhat streamlined version of predecessor. According to Siliconera, the sequel will no longer have three attack buttons, but will instead have everything mapped to a single button. But it won't be boring. (Hopefully.) A preview with PlayStation Life suggests that there will be co-op couch gameplay, and the opportunity to unlock various fighting styles after you’ve beaten up a few bosses.

But most importantly, you’ll have two swords and the head of a demented teddy bear.
