A Brief History Of Game: Evoland 2 Gameplay Trailer

Multi-genre adventure

Reader dear, you are about to witness an act of kidness. I like to delight other members of Team RPS with things I suspect they might not know, then stick a camera in their face so they have to pretend it's a wonderful surprise anyway or they'll seem bad sports. Get this.

Hey, John Walker! Put down that smaller, redder you and come over here a sec. Remember how you were charmed by Evoland, that RPG which recreated the look and play of console RPGs from Game Boy to GameCube? Well SURPRISE! Evoland II [official site] is coming. The first gameplay trailer's now out, showing that it's way more than RPGs this time.

Evoland II, which bears the subtitle A Slight Case of Spacetime Continuum Disorder, goes a bit further afield. This time around, developers Shiro Games are boshing in a fighting game, shoot 'em up, precision platformer, beat 'em up, Bomberman, stealth involving a cardboard box, and more from across gaming history. Have a look:

Evoland II is due out on Windows some time this summer, priced at £14.99/19,99€/$19.99. Mac and Linux versions are planned too, but it seems they'll take a little longer.

See, I can be a not-monster if I try.
