MouseCraft Released, No Longer A Quantum Uncertainty

The cheese stands alone

When we last encountered MouseCraft I was immediately enamoured with its puzzle platforming, Lemmings vs. Tetris design. Well, that and the giant cat who takes center stage as main character and block-dropping guide for the titular mice as they make their way past various traps. He's a mad, grinning beast, omnipresent in the background of every level like some incredibly literal metaphor for God. Deep, meaningful stuff from the comedy game about a steampunk cat professor called Schrödinger; we're in full RPS-mode this morning.

If that's just what you're after for a lazy Monday, it's out now on all the usual platforms as well as directly from the devs, Crunching Koalas. Launch trailer and some other cheesy tidbits below.

First priority now the game's out is to get the level sharing elements integrated via Steam Workshop, which should extend its lifespan far past the current 80 levels and 6-10 hours of play. After that, the dev team are heading back to developing their first project, Wordtrap Dungeon, which uses a Scrabble-like mini-game to power attacks in a first person dungeon crawler. Quite the masters of odd-game concoctions, Crunching Koalas. Here's some old footage from that:
