Tea-Powered Rockets? Her Majesty's SPIFFING

What, What.

It was only a couple of days ago that it was reported that The Space Innovation & Growth Study declared Britain needed a space programme. Her Majesty's SPIFFING is a classic-style point and click adventure, gently updated into a palatable 3D, about precisely that. And because it's an adventure game, it's obviously on Kickstarter. Decent video though.

They're after only £30,000, with an aim to release in November next year. That's not an awful lot of money for a year's work and a team of five. And annoyingly, scroll down far enough and you'll eventually discover the initial goal only funds the first of three chapters. They want to double it for two chapters, and then add on another £40k for the third. So, I'm not quite sure how the money will stretch far enough. They say they've budgeted, and it's the minimum they can get by with.

The game's been in development for a few months already, and there's some rather quiet in-game footage here:

Access to all three chapters of the game comes with the minimum £12 pledge, going up to £1,500 where they'll give you a download of all the Unity3D tools they'll have created, to use for free on your own projects.
