Spooky Space Survival: The Solus Project

From The Ball devs

Crash-landing your spaceship on a deserted planet is bad enough, but a growing suspicion that you're not alone is surely worse. Look forward to that in The Solus Project [official site], a first-person singleplayer survive 'em up given its formal announcement during E3. Sure, the planet looks deserted but... how long have those alien structures been abandoned? And what's up with those giant cracked eggs?

It's a collaboration between Teotl Studio, the folks behind pleasant first-person puzzler The Ball, and Jet Car Stunts folks Grip Games. Come watch the trailer:

The announcement explains:

"As mankind's last hope, and stranded on a deserted alien planet, the player has to survive the harsh environment and find a way to send a distress signal back to an Earth on the brink of destruction. Confronted with merciless weather, and danger lurking around every corner, the player must save the human race while unraveling the deep secrets of the many seemingly deserted alien structures the captivating planet houses."

Sounds good, thank you. I do like the goofy little doohickey you hold which functions as the UI.

Teotl and Grip have been working on the game for a while and livestreamed development a bit, but mostly been quiet about it. Now the game's properly announced, and due in "early 2016".
