Adventurous: Minecraft 1.8 Trailer
The Adventure Update of 1.8 is not far from our Minecraft clients. Soon, internet, soon. Personally I've been holding off playing any Minecraft until it had a bunch of new content, and so this update will be the point at which I return for a fresh look around. Some details on what to expect can be found below, along with that trailer.
I just called Minecraft "anti-graphical kitsch" when talking to someone. That makes me a dick. I am sorry.
In more relevant news, 1.8 will contain: NPC villages (exciting!), randomly generated dungeons (interesting!), new biome code (pretty!), fully working Creative Mode (sandboxy!), critical hits (okay!), sprinting (hmm), more farming options. TThere are also new mobs, including the spooky teleporting Endermen (best mob idea so far), and a new food system.
But really I am looking forward to just getting my exploration on. I am going to build ad awesome base and then start exploring a fresh world in some depth. And I mean depth, thanks to Notch's underground ravines. I also want to see that mushroom biome. I don't know why I should want that.
