Here are all the confirmed ray tracing and DLSS games so far

The good news is that the list of games with ray tracing and/or DLSS support is constantly growing, and with Nvidia’s announcement of their new RTX 50 series GPUs, there’s about to be a bunch more graphics cards that can enable both. The bad news is that between DLSS’s own multiplying versions, from the basic upscaling of DLSS 2 to the Multi Frame Generation of DLSS 4, keeping track of what works with what is getting more complicated than a 'games go fast' feature probably should be.

Here's the absolute basic version: pretty much all modern graphics cards, be they from Nvidia, AMD, or Intel, can run ray tracing, a technique that replaces the lighting and shadows in certain games with more realistic and reactive effects. The catch is that ray tracing levies a heavy tax on performance, but that can be rectified by enabling an upscaler like DLSS – and this is only supported by GeForce RTX GPUs. Then you’ve got DLSS 3, which introduced a frame generation function to bump up your framerates by slotting in bonus AI-generated frames between the traditionally rendered ones. That only works on the RTX 40 series and the new RTX 50 series, and the latter also gets its own, exclusive DLSS 4, which can generate up to three AI frames per rendered frame rather than just one.

Obviously this is partly a song and dance to sell Nvidia GPUs, but frame gen can work well in plenty of games, and DLSS 3’s take on the technology is much smoother and sharper than AMD’s FSR 3. Even if you’ve got the requisite hardware, though, it still comes down to whether the games will play ball as well. To help you find out, here’s a list – to the best of my knowledge – of all the PC games with ray tracing, DLSS, and DLSS 3 settings.

If you’re weighing up whether to splash out on an RTX 50 series card, Nvidia has also announced the 75 games and apps that will support DLSS 4 when it launches alongside the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 on January 30th. You can check out that full list here.

There are more DLSS games on the way, too. DLSS has now been integrated into both the Unreal Engine and Unity game-making tools now, so it should be much easier for developers to start adding in support for it.

That said, several games Nvidia have announced over the past few years still haven't received their intended DLSS support yet, and consequently I've removed some of the titles that were previously included on this list, as even Nvidia seem to have forgotten about them in their most recent DLSS announcements. Instead, the games below are definitely confirmed to be getting DLSS support, based on the most recent information available to us.

DLSS 3 games you can play right now:

DLSS 3 is a generational step up from previous versions. It still works by rendering frames at a lower resolution, then upscaling them, but DLSS 3 can also add brand new frames that Nvidia’s AI tech generates itself (using data from surrounding frames). These interpolated frames are snuck in-between the rendered frames, boosting overall FPS even more.

There are some downsides: this technique increases input latency, so might not be great for pacey competitive games, and it will only be available if you’re running an GeForce RTX 40 series GPU. Still, it works well from what I've played, with particularly impactful FPS boosts at 4K; the only time I've witnessed unacceptable quality drops from frame gen has been in Immortals of Aveum, which had a nasty ghosting effect at launch. Every other time, DLSS 3 has looked fine.

Some of these games may also get support for DLSS 3.5 and its Ray Reconstruction feature, though unlike frame generation, this won't specifically require an RTX 40 series GPU. In any case, here are the games that already have the original DLSS 3 up, running, and playable with frame generation:

Unreal Engines 4 and 5, Unity, and the Frostbite Engine are all DLSS 3 compatible, so you can expect this list to grow just as the 'old' DLSS lists above have done.
