Give Some More: An All-Star TF2 Charity Match

What happens when you put Notch, Gearbox, Yogscast, Day[9], Bethesda, Valve and more in a room together? You'll find out soon in a new release from Vivid Video. (DON'T Google that if you don't already know what it is and/or are being observed by anyone). What about when you just put them in a virtual room? Well, then they play a Team Fortress 2 match for charity.

The fifth TF2 Mixup is due early next month, and plonks assorted devs, YouTube slebs and more into an 9v9 match. As well as getting to watch the thing, those who've already donated went into a raffle to join one of the three currently unclaimed spots in the bout.

Winners have already been chosen by this point, but not yet named, and donations remain open. So who will it be? Well, apparently yThe more you donate, the higher your chances of winning." Given Notch seems to forever be donating vast sums to Humble Bundles, Kickstarters and whatnot, I presume he'll end up with the highest chance of winning. Which means he'll have to play himself. Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold.

The TF2 Mixup has raised £3363.23 for emergency healthcare providers Doctors Worldwide so far, more details on whose invaluable work may be found here. If we can give frightening amounts of money to Kickstarters by old, rich men, surely we can also give cash to watch famous names of our industry go head to head against the guy who sang Chocolate Rain.
