Did you purchase the Legion of Dawn version of Anthem? If you did, you're probably wondering how to unlock your preorder bonus. How to unlock the Legion of Dawn preorder bonus

In order to claim your items, you need to have played a small portion of the game first. You'll be able to unlock not just the Legion of Dawn edition items from this menu, but also any pre-order items and items awarded to you because you're a paying Origin Access member. The prerequisites of unlocking the Legion of Dawn items is as follows:

  • You must have unlocked Fort Tarsis and complete the third Critical Objective mission. Our guide for this is found here: Anthem Incursion.
  • Then you need to complete the Freeplay mission: Anthem Lighting a Fire.
  • This will unlock Prospero's shop. From there, go into the shop and unlock the reward in the rewards tab.

What is inside the Legion of Dawn edition of Anthem

Your first unlockable is a full set of legendary tier "Legion of Dawn" armour pieces for all four Javelins. These can be equipped at the Forge under the Appearance tab. Note that you can also customise the paint job for every one with the "Legion of Dawn metal" variant that this pack unlocks.

Light of the Legion legendary marksman rifle. This weapon is a very good one that serves you well until you hit around level 20, and has the ability to recharge shields after emptying its magazine, as well as the four following inscriptions:

  • +20% weapon magazine size.
  • +10% critical damage.
  • +35% luck.
  • +25% weapon damage.

As for the exclusive Ranger gear piece, you can kit it out with the "Fist of the Mountain" legendary assault launcher. This is a power level 18 legendary version of the Pulse Blast assault launcher that has the following unique effect: "Hitting an enemy has a 25% chance to detonate a large force explosion". If you picked the Ranger Javelin, this will definitely be part of your arsenal for a good chunk of the game until it's outclassed by better ranking gear. It does however include the following inscriptions:

  • +15% repair amount.
  • +35% luck.
  • +20% Assault Launcher attack speed.
  • +25% damage with gear.

Given that the main beneficiary of the Legion of Dawn edition is the Ranger Javelin, it may be a good idea to see how to use it effectively to see how they stack up. Alternatively you can check out the Anthem Javelins guide to see what they're like and when you can unlock them. Now if you'll excuse me, I just need to give my Colossus a makeover.
