Fire Pro Wrestling World slams into early access

The most illegal move in the history of development

Slam your body down and wind it all around as Fire Pro Wrestling World [official site] is now in early access. The long-running series is making its Windows debut and we can pay to get in before the event even starts, watching digital venue staff tidy up code and lay out chairs for sprites. Fire Pro might not have the big brand and 3D-o-vision of 2K's WWE games but it does offer serious wrestlebiffs - and players are already creating and sharing big-name wrestlers through its fab editor anyway.

Fire Pro Wrestling World is £14.99/19,99€/$19.99 on Steam Early Access. Along with singleplayer fights and 8-player local multiplayer, it does have two-player online bouts with matchmaking.

Developers Spike Chunsoft plan to spend "a few months" in early access, expanding the editor and adding more modes before launching. It might take longer, depending on feedback. For now, Spike Chunsoft do warn of some known bugs.

Hit Fire Pro's Steam Workshop and you'll already find plenty of wrestlers from across the world. The most popular ones are American stars such as CM Punk and Hulk Hogan, big Japanese names, and crossovers like Shinsuke Nakamura and Asuka. You'll also find Solid Snake, bears, and the Tsunderetaker.

Here, this recent video from Spike Chunsoft shows how to make your own wrestlers:
