Rage 2 release date, gameplay trailer, pre-order bonuses

Causing a ruckus.

Rage 2 just had a brand new trailer that showed a good nine minutes of mayhem and destruction. This collaboration between id Software and Avalanche Studios looks to be quite utterly mad, with plenty of new gadgets and vehicles to create a spectacle with. Our guide hub includes all the known information about the game, such as the release date, trailers, and details on the special editions and pre-order bonuses.

Rage 2 gameplay trailer

The latest trailer shows a lot more of the arsenal on offer in Rage 2. There are a slew of weapons to slaughter enemies with, as well as some nifty techniques. I personally like the idea of Halo's Needler gun being able to fling enemies into the stratosphere. Upgrades are also plentiful with places dotted around the map showing where you must clear enemies to access the bases to unlock skills like "Slam", and there's multiple vehicles shown off. It definitely looks silly and for a punk-apocalypse, that's not a bad thing.

Rage 2 editions, pre-order bonuses

Rage 2 has a few different versions that will be available. All the digital versions can be found to buy at the Bethesda launcher. Retail versions of the game will go for around £39.99/€59.99/$59.99, depending on the retailer. For the deluxe edition, this increases to £59.99/€79.99/$79.99. There's also a collector's edition that will set you back a colossal £119.99/€129.99/$129.99 from GAME (UK), from various outlets in Europe, and from Gamestop in the US. To find more details about the collector's edition, head here. Below are the details of what goodies you can expect.

Pre-order

For those who don't know my general rule when it comes to pre-purchasing/pre-ordering/however you want to call it, I generally advise against doing so. However it would be bad to not at the very least say what you get as a result of pre-ordering a game. For Rage 2, this actually gets you a fair bit. For the standard edition, here's what you can get:

  • Cult of the Death God mission DLC
  • Settler Pistol
  • Nicholas Raine's armour
  • Mutant Monster truck skin

There's not a lot to go on at the moment, but we will of course be updating this hub for Doom Eternal with details as soon as they are made available. This will include at the very least more trailers and details, as well as the confirmed release date once Bethesda announce it.
