How do you find and use flint in Valheim? Flint is a very useful resource in Valheim. It can be a little tricky to find at first, but once you know where to look you'll be collecting heaps of the stuff in no time. All you need to do is head to certain biome areas of the map. Valheim Flint locations: how to get Flint quickly and easily
To get Flint in Valheim you'll need to head to do the following:
- Find a body of water. This will be easy if you used our Valheim Seeds guide but if not just pick a direction and run in it until you reach water. There's pretty much always a body of water nearby, give how Valheim generates its maps
- Head to the shores/shallow areas of the water you've found
- Look for flat white stones littered around, you can pick these up
- Press 'E' to pick up Flint
What is Flint used for?
Flint can be used to craft a number of items in Valheim, such as the Flint Knife, Flint Axe and Flinthead arrows. These items will make boss fights a heck of a lot easier, especially the arrows. If you're having trouble with any of the fights, check out our Valheim Bosses walkthrough.
Flint farming
Once you've found a body of water that has a lot of Flint spawning in it, you should build a small structure with a bed, fire and shelter. This way you can collect the Flint around the water and then head back to bed to sleep and replenish the Flint spawns. This is a great way to farm all of the Flint you need for weapons and tools, so give it a try.
