Awesome Games Done Quick speedruns another week

Zoooom!

And they're off! Those zippy, glitchy speedrunners are away in this year's Awesome Games Done Quick, a solid week of non-stop speedrunning livestreamed to raise money for charity. Gasp at their mastery of games! Coo at their exploitation of glitches! Groan at how many rubbish NES platformers they play! Wince at their banter! But mostly, genuinely, it's impressive how speedrunners know their games inside-out and back-to-front. As ever, they're playing a grab bag of games from all systems, including a good number of PC games. AGDQ 2017 kicked off yesterday and run 24/7 until Sunday.

PC games in this year's lineup include Shovel Knight, Quake, Borderlands 2, Psychonauts, Silent Hill 4: The Room, F.E.A.R. Extraction Point, Hitman: Blood Money, The Turing Test, SEUM: Speedrunners from Hell, Salt and Sanctuary, Dark Messiah of Might and Magic, System Shock 2, Descent 2, Daikatana, Half-Life: Blue Shift, co-op Left 4 Dead, Action Henk, Human Fall Flat, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Dark Souls 3 (in an hour!), Undertale, and... so many more that I'll point you at the schedule.

You can watch live on Twitch. Some of those games I mentioned have already gone past but runs are being archived on Games Done Quick's YouTube channel.

AGDQ 2017 is raising money for the Prevent Cancer Foundation, a US charity which funds cancer research and helps educate folks on avoiding The Black Nasty.
