GOG's Sleepy Sheep Insomnia Sale Now Underway

Baaaa-rgains

Distribution platform GOG have been running their Insomnia Sales for quite a while now - where limited numbers of games are discounted round the clock until allocations run out. New games with new deals then pop up, and so restarts the cycle where you get loads of bargains and a distinctly lighter wallet.

The Sleepy Sheep Insomnia Sale is now underway, bringing with it an abundance of deals and "a number of games never before seen on GOG.com as well as the best-ever deal on our crowning jewel - The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt."

At just £17.49 - 50 percent of its normal price - CD Projekt Red's medieval open world role-player sold like hot cakes when the sale offered up its first allocation earlier today. That particular batch is now long gone, however GOG note we should "keep in mind it is likely that a game will go on sale multiple times throughout the sale". Which means if you want to catch The Witcher 3 again at such an endearing price, you'll want to keep your eyes locked on the sale's storefront until it pops up again. Which of course could be at any time of day or night. Which means you can forget about shut-eye. Which perfectly highlights the principle of the sale. I'll stick the kettle on.

Here's GOG on how it all works:

"Our infamous Insomnia Sale returns with a relentless stream of limited-quantity deals, one game after the other, nonstop until the games run out. Or the sheep doze off. We've been studying your valuable feedback on this annual event, including comments like 'AAAAARRRRGHHHHHH!!!' and 'Please, why won't you let me sleep?!'. We took them to heart and decided that what you guys are saying is that you need more gaming stimulants to fight away sleepiness. Worry not, we're here to help."

I love a good bargain me, therefore I'm terrible at splashing my cash in times like these. While it's my responsibility to advocate responsible spending - seriously, don't be like me, you probably don't need ALL the games - the sale also offers "bonus freebies" if you do find yourself picking up multiple offers over its course. Here's GOG on that:

"Because we're not entirely sadistic, we're even offering bonus freebies to the sleep-deprived. Buy 10 games, get a random extra one for FREE — keep buying and they'll keep coming faster and faster! If you want to learn more about the intricacies behind this whole science of non-sleep, check out the promo FAQ. But don't dally there too long, because games will start disappearing before your bloodshot eyes!"

The GOG Sleepy Sheep Insomnia Sale is on right now and will run until the limited-quantity deals run out. Here's an FAQ for more information.
