Hearthstone Gold making guide
How to make gold quickly as a new player, then keep the cash flowing.
Whether you want to participate in more Arena runs, or just bulk out your card collection by dipping into some new card pack purchases, there's no such thing as having too much Gold in Hearthstone. Fortunately, there are a few ways to go about getting your hands on more of this currency, and we've got the lowdown on how to get hold of it nice and quickly.
Daily Quests
Every day you'll be granted a Daily Quest that will challenge you to complete a certain objective. It might be to win a handful of games with a certain Hero, or deal so much damage to enemy Heroes. You can only have three such quests banked at any one time, however, so if you want to grow your collection efficiently, it's important to keep clearing them out.
Some of the quests actually work quite nicely together, and allow you to work towards completing more than one reward in a single match. It can be worth stockpiling such quests until you can complete them all together in one efficient binge, and Blizzard has actually provided a simple tool to help you do just that.
Once per day you'll have the option to abandon a single quest from your collection of three. To do this, you just view your current quests and then click the red X on the quest you're not interested in. By doing this you can ensure you work on only the most valuable or efficient objectives at any one time. Choose the quest you want to abandon carefully though, as you can only do it once every 24 hours.
Here's a complete breakdown of all the daily quests available in Hearthstone, and the reward you'll receive for ticking them all off the list. Note that - with the exception of Total Dominance - you can only progress each quest by participating in the Play or Arena Modes. Playing bespoke matches against your friends or the AI won't count.

Ranked and Casual wins
It won't make you enough to retire on, but you'll receive a certain amount of gold just by winning games in the Casual and Ranked game modes. For every three games you win, you'll be awarded 10 Gold.
Note that this caps out at 100 Gold per day, and you can't earn this extra reward by winning games in the Arena or AI Practice Mode, or when you're playing against buddies. Still, it's a nice way to slowly but surely eke out a little more cash for a bonus card pack every now and then.
Playing Arena
If you've got the Gold spare, Arena can be a great way to both increase your card collection and keep the currency rolling in. It costs 150 Gold (or an alternative real money fee) to take part each time, and while that might sound like a lot compared to the 100 Gold cost of a card pack, you're guaranteed to get a set of cards no matter how badly you do. If you win even a few of your matches, you'll even make back that extra 50 Gold, and have the chance to receive bonus cards and crafting dust as well.
Here's a breakdown of what you can roughly expect to receive for hitting certain milestones in Arena. Note that these rewards are in addition to your guaranteed card pack, and don't include the chance to receive a random additional card as a further bonus reward too.

0 | Novice | 25-40 Gold / Arcane Dust |
