Watch IGN's first Summer Of Gaming not-E3 stream here today

NotE3 gets rolling

E3 is off this year but a load of publishers, associations, and blogs are trying to fill the void left by the binning of the video games industry's largest marketing event. After a series of postponments given the American political climate, these online events are now getting rolling. Tonight, IGN kick off their multi-day 'Summer Of Gaming' with a livestream bringing game announcements, news, trailers, and more. Which you can watch embedded below from 9:30pm tonight (1:30 Pacific) and chat about and that.

The Ian Games Network have given an outline of what to expect. They'll have the announcement of a new game from Funcom and The Outsiders, the folks behind the now-cancelled Darkborn. Merge Games, who published the physical releases of Streets Of Rage 4 and Dead Cells, have a "classic revival" to announce. Some Chivalry 2 news is coming, which I'd assume is a release date for the first-person stabber. Then a load of trailers, gameplay videos, and other bits.

Oh, and IGN's stream today will be preceded by a Doom Eternal speedrun from Xamide, the fella whose tricks surprised even Id Software. That will start at 7:45pm (11:45am Pacific).

See our E3 stream schedule for the rest of the events across the coming weeks and months. It's going to be a weird one. Tomorrow will be a busy day between Sony's big PlayStation 5 stream, an indie showcase from The Escapist, and more on IGN. I... I miss E3.

Whatever you call it, hit our E3 2020 tag for more from this summer's blast of gaming announcements, trailers, and miscellaneous marketing. Check out the PC games at the PlayStation 5 show, everything at the PC Gaming Show, and all the trailers from the Xbox showcase, for starters.
