Republique Episode 4 Sneaks Into A Graveyard

We've all been there

When dystopian sneak 'em up Republique [official site] first arrived on PC, it brought with it (fancier, "remastered" versions of) the first three episodes that'd already slipped into pocket telephones. Now we're synchronised, and the fourth of its five planned episodes has arrived. Episode Four: God's Acre looks to be escaping dark underground sci-fi complexes and venturing into... a dark and spooky graveyard. If I know teens in graveyards, and it's probably no surprise that I do know a thing or two about that, there'll also bottles of White Lightning and inept snogging.

Developers Camouflaj explain, "Armed with little more than sheer wit and the cover of night, players must help their companion avoid detection by the deranged groundskeeper while hacking electronic devices and solving the many puzzles of the crypt." A deranged groundskeeper too? What a treat!

A Republique season pass will run you £16-19, depending on where you buy. It's up for Windows and Mac on Steam, GOG, and Humble, though it seems GOG doesn't have Episode 4 yet (or the listing isn't updated, anyway).

The fifth and final episode is due in "early 2016," Camouflaj say. "The wait will be much, much shorter, as we've developed Episodes 4 and 5 concurrently." Good-o! For now, here's a peek at God's Acre:
