Watch Dogs 2 DLC slightly delayed by patches

Hack the planet! In a bit

Ubisoft have delayed the first Watch Dogs 2 [official site] DLC release a touch, as they've been busy focusing on patches instead. That's a good reason. I like Ubi's recent decisions to fix games over rinsing players; remember they delayed The Division's expansions too. But yes, if you want to hack the planet dressed as that ol' hippy T-Bone you'll need to wait a little longer.

Ubisoft announced the DLC delay last week after releasing a new PC patch on Thursday. They said:

"This and previous patches were an important step towards stabilizing Watch Dogs 2's seamless multiplayer functionality, and other core online features, before releasing any new multiplayer content. Since these updates required additional development resources, we’ve made the decision to adjust our release schedule for that new content."

The first hunk o' DLC, the T-Bone Content Bundle, is a relatively small one. It'll give players T-Bone's clothes and truck and "a new co-op difficulty level that will pit players against a new enemy archetype armed with advanced weaponry." It's now due on PC on January 24th, though because #business it'll be on PlayStation 4 next week.

We've not detailed Watch Dogs 2's DLC season pass before because Ubi announced it a month before the game came out, the dafties, and who cares at that point? So! Three packs are planned, with the last two due in spring with new story missions. Ubi say the second, Human Conditions, "will uncover San Francisco’s biggest scandals on the cutting edge of science, medicine and misuse". Lastly, No Compromise "mixes Marcus up in the seedy underbelly of San Francisco and puts him in the crosshairs of the Russian mafia". Both will introduce new co-op bits too.

Anyway, before all that, what have you made of Watch Dogs 2? After a fortnight, maybe you've played through the goofy fun stuff and reached the odd tonal shift Adam thought the game struggled to pull off. Heck, maybe you've even finished it? Me, I've fancied playing but have so very much to do that I've ended up casually watching the Men Drinkin' Coffee play on my second screen while working. I like all the goofy Hackers stuff.
