Adam & Eve It: Assassin's Creed Syndicate PC Date

Stone the crows!

Cor blimey luv a duck and stone the crows [be kind then cruel to birds -ed.], you won't Adam and Eve [believe -ed.] what Ubisoft have done to the PC version of Assassin's Creed Syndicate [official site]. I'm only joshing: you will absolutely believe that Ubisoft have confirmed the PC version is coming a month after the console release. It's their flipping copper hand and eye [modus operandi -ed.], innit?

Having been a bit vague about the launch before, Ubi have now pegged down a Windows release date of November 19th - consoles are October 23rd.

"The additional four weeks are for us to really bear down and finalize all of the polish and optimization, to make sure the game and all of its systems are stable when it launches, so it runs smoothly for all players starting on day one," Ubisoft Kiev's studio production manager Sam Kovalev said in tonight's announcement.

He explains that Ubi had shifted up their development practices to give the PC version more attention earlier on, but apparently that hasn't been enough.

"We have introduced several new improvements to our production pipeline and validation process, which allowed us to focus on polishing, stabilizing and optimizing the PC version very early on in the project," Kovalev says. "This has been one of the top priorities for the production team this year." Maybe next year, eh?

One imagines that the mess of AC Unity and the shambolic PC launch of Batman: Arkham Knight makes Ubi want to be double-sure this year's PC version isn't guff.
