Bear-knuckle brawling in Tekken 7 next year

THAT'S A PUN!

Perhaps you, like me, had forgotten that Tekken 7 [official site] will see the fighting game series finally arrive on PC. Perhaps you, like me, had forgotten that Tekken is so cuckoo kooky bonkers that its lineup of pugilists includes not one but two bears - one grizzly, one panda. Also the bears can talk. And at least one of them evidently ↑ likes a good natter on his pocket telephone. Amazing scenes. Tekken 7 isn't due until next year but, to remind us of that, Bandai Namco have released a new trailer to remind us of that and of its wacky bears.

Bamco yesterday confirmed that bear-knuckle brawlers Kuma and Panda will return once more with Tekken 7.

"For the uninitiated," Bamco explain, "Kuma serves as both pet and bodyguard for Heihachi Mishima and is trained in the Heihachi-style Kuma Shinken." Talking bear brawler bodyguard. Natch. As for Panda, she "learned the same Heihachi-style Kuma Shinken style of fighting when she traveled to the Mishima Industrial College to train in martial art in preparation to participate in the King of the Iron Fist Tournament."

Tekken 7 is coming to Windows via Steam in "early 2017".

We were starved of solid fighting games for years on PC but strewth, now most modern series are here and older games are coming over too. We've big series like Tekken, Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Dead or Alive, and Marvel vs. Capcom, smaller and weirder games with names like Nitroplus Blasterz: Heroines Infinite Duel and Melty Blood Actress Again Current Code, long series like BlazBlue are catching up on PC, and of course we've plenty of native PC fighting games like Skullgirls and a fair few Smashlikes. This is a good time for punching faces on PC.

Anyway! I promised you wacky bearfights:
