Now that it’s finally open, you’ll finally be able to explore the mysterious area with strong ties to the game’s lore (am I sensing a future Archon Quest location?).

How to get to The Chasm in Genshin Impact

Below are the steps you'll need to complete in order to reach Genshin Impact 2.6's new region, The Chasm:

1. Reach Adventure Rank 28

Though you’ll be able to view the entrance of The Chasm once you’ve reached Liyue, you won’t be able to officially enter until you’re at Adventure Rank 28. For lower-ranked adventurers, we’ve got a handy guide of the fastest ways to raise your Adventure Rank.

2. Complete the Chapter I: Act III - A New Star Approaches Archon Quest

To unlock the following quest, you’ll also need to catch up on the Chapter I: Act III - A New Star Approaches Archon Quest if you haven’t already. If you haven’t, check your completion of the Archon Quests via your Quests menu!

3. Complete the Surreptitious Seven-Star Seal Sundering World Quest

Before you begin your journey into The Chasm, teleport to a Waypoint in Lisha (the southernmost part of Liyue), and follow the path that heads into The Chasm (marked on your map by an undiscovered area to the left of Lisha). You’ll be stopped by Tie Hong and Tianyi, two Millelith Soldiers who will explain some of The Chasm’s lore to you before letting you pass.

After your chat, head past the gate and then walk left toward Muning, whose location should be marked with a World Quest icon on your map. Muning will send you to meet up with Zhiqiong, who’s hanging out a bit deeper into the region and will send you to retrieve the Lumenstone from a miner’s warehouse. Lumenstone in hand, head back to Muning for your final task: breaking all of the Bedrock Keys.

Lumine and Paimon speak to Muning, a new NPC, in Genshin Impact's newest area The Chasm.

4. Destroy the Bedrock Keys

Around each Bedrock Key, you’ll find some glowy rocks. Break these and a small star will begin to rotate around you. With this star in tow, step near the little rocky cage-shaped objects around to the Bedrock Keys. Once the star enters the cage, hit the cage with a weapon while facing the Bedrock Key. Doing this with all of the cage-shaped objects around each Bedrock Key will cause the Key to break. Be wary of your surroundings — you’ll often have to find the right rocky cage-shaped object to hit as the Bedrock Keys change heights, making them inaccessible from certain cages at times.

Break the required Bedrock Keys, head back to Zhiqiong, and then break the final Bedrock Key, found in an underground area near the Statue of the Seven. After this, the seal will break and you’ll get the “When the Seal Is Broken…” Achievement. Congrats — the rest of The Chasm is yours to explore!
