Minecraft: Story Mode Ep 7 Jacking In Next Week

Don your cybergoggles

Ooh everyone's jacking in nowadays. Even video game characters can't resist slapping on their cybergoggles and, apparently, playing a blocky version of Dishonored. That's what Jesse will be up to in Episode 7 of Minecraft: Story Mode [official site], which Telltale have announced will launch next Tuesday. With a sentient Redstone computer taking over everyone's minds, it looks like Jesse is entering the cyberzone to brainjack its minions. Cybering within cybering - a very advanced technique.

Episode 7 guest stars Yvette Nicole Brown, who you might know as Shirley in Community. Here's what Telltale say about what's going on:

"In Episode 7: 'Access Denied', continuing their portal journey in search of home, Jesse and crew land in a world entirely controlled by PAMA - a sinister "thinking machine" determined to command everyone and everything in pursuit of optimal usefulness and efficiency. Forced on the run to avoid capture and assimilation, you'll need to work with a new ally to defeat the corrupted computer and free the population it has enslaved."

This is the second of three extra episodes coming to Minecraft: Story Mode in the 'Adventure Pass', following a YouTuber bonanza in June. You'll need to own at least the first episode of the regular series to buy any of these extras, which cost $4.99 apiece or £10.99/10,99€/$14.99 for the lot (a curious anti-discount!).
