Best C58 loadout and class setup in Call of Duty: Warzone

Our take on the best C58 class in Warzone.

Need the best C58 loadout for Warzone? This Season 4 addition to Warzone, is a unique weapon. It’s got a pretty slow fire rate, but retains a very respectable time-to-kill if you manage to hit your shots. It’s not the most forgiving gun, but get the hang of the C58 and it’ll serve you very nicely. Even after a string of nerfs, it's among the best guns for Season 6. To help you get the most out of the weapon, we'll walk you through the best C58 loadouts and class setups to dominate Warzone Pacific.

Best long-range C58 loadout in Warzone

The C58’s two biggest pros are excellent range and a monster headshot multiplier. If you only hit bodyshots it’s pretty average, but if you have the precision to land one or more headshots the C58 shreds at long distances. To help you out with that, we’ve put together this build:

  • Muzzle: Agency Suppressor
  • Barrel: Task Force
  • Optic: Axial Arms 3x
  • Underbarrel: Field Agent Grip
  • Ammunition: STANAG 55 Rnd
A long-range build for the C58 in Call of Duty: Warzone

Our long-range build opts for maximum range and recoil reduction to help you manage the considerable kick of the C58. Your standard Agency Suppressor and Task Force Barrel will up your damage range and bullet velocity to help you hit those headshots. They also reduce your recoil and combine with the Field Agent Grip to give you the lowest recoil build possible. The Royal and Kross 4x has been a very popular choice on the C58 due to a bug that made it massively reduce recoil, but that bug is now fixed. You can still use the Royal and Kross if you like the sight picture, but I prefer the Axial Arms 3x. Finally, go with the largest magazine available, in this case, the 55 Round Magazine.

If the ADS speed is killing you, try swapping the Task Force Barrel for a Ranger Barrel. This is going to add some recoil and pull your damage dropoff a little closer, but that will only affect your time-to-kill at mid-range. You could keep the range by trading the Field Agent Grip for an Airborne Elastic Wrap too. Both options work, but sacrificing recoil control on the C58 is a bigger ask than on most Assault Rifles. Still, it’s worth a shot if you like to prioritize handling.

Secondary weapon

We recommend pairing your long-range C58 with a close-range SMG. Right now the Modern Warfare MP5 and MAC-10 are top choices. For more suggestions, check out our guide to the best SMGs in Warzone.

Best sniper support C58 loadout in Warzone

The C58 makes a surprisingly strong sniper support, even if its damage can’t quite keep up with the Cold War AK-47. If you like the feel of the C58 and want to try it as a sniper support, we’ve put together this build just for you:

  • Muzzle: Agency Suppressor
  • Barrel: Ranger
  • Stock: Raider Stock
  • Laser: Tiger Team Spotlight
  • Ammunition: 40 Round Magazine

You still want the standard Agency Suppressor on this build. Stick with a Ranger Barrel over the Task Force though to help out your ADS and movement speed for close-range engagements. The Tiger Team Spotlight and Raider Stock are the go-to combination for high mobility, an essential component of a sniper support build. With a lower fire rate, the C58 can also get away with a 40 Round Magazine at sniper support distances. You can absolutely still use the 55 Round option if you prefer it though, it’s just a matter of preference.

There isn’t much else on this build that we recommend tinkering with. You can go back to a Task Force Barrel or try to sneak on a Field Agent Grip to try and bring the recoil down, but virtually anything you do will come at the cost of mobility. That isn’t an area you want to sacrifice on a sniper support weapon.

Secondary weapon

Of course, a sniper support is no sniper support without a Sniper Rifle. The ever-popular Kar98k and newer Swiss K31 are both excellent choices. If you prefer extreme distances though, go with a ZRG. Check out our guide to the best Sniper Rifles in Warzone to catch up on the meta.

How to unlock the C58 in Warzone

The C58 launched as part of the Season 4 Battle Pass, and is now unlocked through a challenge. To unlock the C58, you must get a Long Shot kill with an Assault Rifle in 15 different completed matches in either Warzone or Black Ops Cold War. To do this in Warzone, grab a Krig 6 for the easiest long-range beaming. Then, head into Plunder so you can respawn with your loadout and get those Long Shot opportunities early and often.

In Cold War multiplayer, you will want to jump into a playlist with short match times like Team Deathmatch. You only need a single Long Shot but have to play the whole match out. So, short games are the key to speed. Find a long angle, look for a kill, and unlock your C58. If you own Cold War, this will be the fastest way to unlock the C58.
