Rainbow Six Siege Finka: what she can do and how to use her

Nanomachines son

Don't you wish you could just get a little bit more out of your other operators in Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege at the push of a button? Finka's nanomachines can do so in a pinch and can prove vital when allies need that extra boost the most. However there are some major drawbacks you should be made aware of, so this guide will cover those, as well as the weapons and gadgets that she can use to complement her abilities.

Finka operator guide

Finka is one of the newer operatives introduced and her ability is a wide-reaching one. She's also the only real "medic" of the attacking operators, so fulfils a unique role in the team's makeup. She also has comparable primary weapons, so newer players should be right at home. If you haven't played in a while, feel free to use our Rainbow Six Siege guide to get some tips and tricks to make the most of her abilities.

Finka's Stats

Armour: 2
Speed: 2

Finka's Weapon Loadouts

Finka's primary weapon selection has the Spear .308 assault rifle that boasts really good firepower and recoil. This is generally the preferred option as her other two weapons include the 6P41 light machine gun which has a huge ammunition box at the cost of reload time, and the SASG-12 shotgun which has reduced effectiveness despite having the ability to load a silencer on it. The pistol options are the GSH-18 and the PMM handguns respectively, which are separated by the GSH-18 having better recoil management.

Finka's Gadgets

You can't go particularly wrong with frag grenades with Finka. Breach charges are good to help the team, but the frag grenades are less situational compared to the rather precise nature of the breach charge.

Finka's Skill

Finka comes with the Adrenal Surge - nanobots that recover team health briefly and can even revive allies. When activated, the effect is global, meaning that every ally that is not completely dead gets a 20 hit point boost that lasts a relatively long duration. Any downed allies are revived with the 20 hit point boost, as well as five permanent hit points that don't go away after the effect wears off. Allies also gain a shorter recovery time to flash bangs and concussion devices. Interestingly, Zofia gets an even shorter recovery from concussion devices as she already has a base resistance. This means they barely affect her at all when the Adrenal Surge is active. That's not all however, as Finka's surge also allows for greatly reduced recoil and a faster aim-down-sights time.

With so much that it does to boost the team, there are some rather obvious counters. Smoke's poison gas has a significantly greater affect on anyone who has the effect activated, since they're breathing quickly. It can also be cancelled by Lesion's spikes hitting any affected player and Echo's blast hitting Finka.

Should I pick Finka?

When timed correctly, Finka's ability can be hard to manage for the defending team. She also pairs up very well with characters like Ying as Finka can follow her in after Ying's flash devices trigger. Zofia players will also gain a huge advantage against concussion devices, and any operator with a high damage gun will appreciate the reduced recoil. The defensive team do have a fair few answers, but compared to the perks that those nanobots give, it's hard to argue against choosing her to complement certain teams.

Smoke is an obvious counter to Finka's restorative abilities, but if you want to learn a little more about him, there's more information available.
